What “break-even CPL” means here
The calculator subtracts modeled mileage and paid drive time from gross profit per won job. It then multiplies that contribution by the close rate. The result is the maximum lead cost that would leave zero expected contribution under these assumptions.
Include every trip you expect—not just the first inspection—when estimating mileage and drive time. If emergency response commitments cannot be met consistently, exclude the area regardless of the modeled margin.
